Great location but holiday home needs lots of care and attention. Not worth what we paid! Positive: The quiet location was fantastic. The area is really peaceful. I must add here that the owner/host, not sure which as we didn't ever get a name, did try to rectify some of the issues but as I believe they are not onsite or close by, they really don't know what the property is like. This holiday home could be magical with a little care and attention. Negative: Not worth the money we paid. The bins were a terrible eyesore to arrive to and we lost a days use of the pool (it took the pool technician over 2 hours on the Tuesday and then a further hour on the Wednesday to clean the pool). The previous guests had left it in such a mess and I'm not even sure the pool was turned on and circulating/cleaning. It was green and slimy, nobody would have used the pool. We then had the gardener who spent a few hours trying to restore the garden to match the pictures online. Again, all disturbing our peaceful vacation. The house is in great need of repair as outlined in the email I sent directly to the host. Garden - as mentioned above - front and back - needs a good clean Lights - broken outside front door. A light broken at decking. Hallway lights not working Decking - broken in various places - exposed screws and nails - this is a safety hazard and needs to be dealt with Pool - as mentioned above - kids crayons at side of pool - objects left in pool - dirty and slimy Dirty laundry left in laundry room Dirty freezer Dirty BBQ Items left in washing machine, dryer and dishwasher - again time lost from our vacation spent sorting this Exposed electrical sockets in the kitchen - again a safety hazard Linen cupboard - what a mess, sorry but the cleaners should have sorted this Shelves - dining room and games room - falling off the walls Stairs - need a good clean and lick of paint Curtains hooks need replaced Broken sofa Broken fly screen Ripped chair in back garden Cockroaches Broken toilet roll holder in main bathroom Broken ironing board in master bedroom

Negative: The outside was not cleaned up grass not mowed. The pictures were not updated
